I woke up with darkness surrounding me. My head hurts from waking up on the floor and from wondering too much. Nonetheless, I try to keep my head straight just so I could wonder more. Darkness is everywhere around me. I see nothing, not even my own hands which I had stretch out in front of me. I wanted to cry but my pride won’t let me.
Then, out of nowhere, I hear a voice. A beautiful, melodious voice. It’s a she. She’s not singing, no. She’s talking. In a language that I don’t even know. But it’s beautiful!
I feel my legs moving towards it. Straight, left, another left, then a right. What’s strange is a floating nightlight guiding me along. The nightlight disappeared, leaving a puff of smoke behind. The voice went missing. Again, I am left alone in the darkness.
I wander around, the cat inside me eager to be killed by curiosity. How long I’ve been wandering around, I can’t say. I wanted to cry again, but my foolish pride said no.
“Angelina…” called out a voice.
That’s the voice from before!
“Come here, let me see you, my darling.” The voice said in a thick accent, almost sounding like a French lady.
My feet stick to the ground, not knowing where is. I tried to speak but nothing came out. Not even a whimper. Long, beautiful white hair, some strands with brown hair. Red dress with a tight bodice, flowing down from the waist all the way to the end, covering up her legs -if she even have legs. Pale skin, red lips being the only thing that adds life to her ghostly self.
Enchanted, but frightening.
Horrifying, but bewitching.
But I find myself wanting more of her. At last, I found the owner of the voice. She held out a hand for me to take. I did, after drooling over the goddess standing before me. Part of me wanted to pull back my hand and just wait until I wake up. I know, this is a dream. But does everyone wake up after a dream?
I decided against it and let whoever this is pull me in. Little do I know, the bewitching goddess had stole the last thing I would ever think of.
And I am forced to live without a voice.
