The above topic sounds kinda outrageous right? But that’s what on my mind today. Bad things that happened to us can be a good thing too. Because looking back at my past and comparing it to my present, I won’t be what I’m now if there’s nothing happened and I don’t change myself. The only time most of us ever learn anything is when something bad happens.
Why do we need bad things in our life?
Because it’s easier NOT to change. When nothing happens, we keep doing what we’re doing until we hit the wall. That’s why we need bad things to happen to us in order to change.
Examples:
In relationships, when do we usually change our bad behaviour towards our partner and starting to treat them right? When at the verge of breaking up, or after a huge fight. Right?
In school, when do we actually really sit down and study hard? When we’re about to fail and our parents are angry at us.
In business, when do we try new ideas or make the toughest decision? When we almost lost our money and we can’t pay the overhead (follow the story of Tuan Abd Hakim Awang of the brand D’Apple on his Facebook).
We learn our biggest lessons when things fall apart and life gets rough. The truth is, failure hurts. And that’s when we get educated. In another perspective, disasters are the turning point in our life.
So do we always need painful things to happen to us in order to be better and move forward?
Not necessarily. Sometimes God send us gentle reminders so we better open our eyes and mind to them. Disasters that happened to us served as guru. Learn from it and never ever give up when something bad happens to us. It should keep us stronger. Just like vaccines do to our bodies.
.
Having said that, what can we learn from Covid-19 pandemic?
